Meet Egeziharya

Hey there! My name is Egeziharya (Egg-Zi-ha-ree-ya), and I am a proud Ethiopian-American doula, childbirth educator and lactation educator with over six years of experience supporting births locally and across Sub-Saharan Africa.

My work is rooted in culturally aligned care, shaped by years of supporting African and immigrant communities and navigating the intersection of tradition, healthcare systems, and lived experience.

I bring a strong foundation of experience alongside a deeply intuitive and grounded presence. My approach centers empathy-based care while honoring the unique cultural, physical, and personal needs that each birth experience holds.

I am especially committed to supporting families through complex and sensitive experiences, and to creating space for care that is both culturally meaningful and deeply supportive.

Currently, I am pursuing graduate training in midwifery, continuing to shape a care practice informed by both global and local birth experiences. I believe doula-informed care should be foundational across birth spaces, strengthening how care is delivered and experienced at every level.

Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my family, teaching children at my church, and exploring nature through outdoor and wildlife-centered adventures. I am deeply passionate about global birth practices and love learning from traditions around the world.
